Both. I've graduated YC:SC twice and I've done 3 core program applications.
I've been through YC twice and I've got to be honest found it a lot less use than Pioneer to be honest. You initially start off with fairly good energy but you quickly realise that not everything is at it seems over there. From the at times really quite simply atrocious underlying video conferencing on their site to the spotty and inconsistent contact points across the vast array of mostly not great WhatsApp groups, going through the process gets to feel more and more like a chore. Especially when after everything you go through you end up with literally no feedback from YC other than a generic email that says thanks for taking part and be sure to try again next year. Yay for Y-Combinator Startup School. I started on Pioneer when into try two of YC earlier this year and immediately found more engagement on this platform and a far better way of measuring what you're actually getting done. Good and varied engagement combined with real target focused peer reporting on progress and innovation - what's not to love? So in summation - for me personally, not saying this everyone's experience, YC get's a big thumbs down and Pioneer gets a big thumbs up. :)
Am open to collaboration opportunities. I've worked with musicians and the sector itself a few years back doing work for BLK Productions and Grime Daily. Even got to appear in a couple of music videos. Anyways - I've seen how exploitative it is so I really like your idea. I do encrypted messaging and data. So could provide a secure messaging and data transfer system for your artists. I've also designed my own encrypted alternative to Facebook that could be rolled out as a next-gen rebirth of MySpace as an example. I see opportunities here. Feel free to send me an NDA and we can get chatting.

Awesome idea! I've given everyone a follow from my https://www.twitter.com/kryo2020 account. If I've missed anyone - my apologies there's a lot here. Just pop your handle in reply to this and I'll swing by and drop a follow.
Thanks for the feedback. It's a bit of an odd one. The investor insisted on a valuation as part of diligence but I completely get what you mean. :)
Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Always good to know when financiers are blowing smoke up ma butt.
Concerning hustlefund.vc. It should be remembered that at this time they are only funding companies based in US, Canada and South East Asia. If your startup is anywhere else in the world, you need not waste your time applying. They don't tell you this until AFTER you've filled everything in and they've captured your details and your deck - which I personally think is a bit dishonest to be honest, especially as the location question is one of the first to be answered.
