Have you determined a "North Star Metric" for your startup? If yes, what's that and how do you plan to achieve that?

I've not bothered thinking of a north star metric for www.skilledup.life yet. Same reason why I have not focused on product/market fit either. My focus is on solving problems we have and not getting bogged down on what the startup gurus out there preach.

Once we solve the fundamental issues we have, I'm sure all of these will emerge. My strategy is bottom up instead of top down.

Glad to see the plans, but do find Metrics to track progress. I never cared about metrics in last 2 startups and in current one, when i finally started caring about after 2 pivots, found early success in 3 months that too with funding :D

A bit confusing with Wrky and Wrk here.

All metrics are based on the past. Your customers/users are living breathing entities in the present.
If you have customers, the only focus should be... meeting the customers needs and resolving their problems as and when they arise.
If you do not have customers, well, the focus should be getting those customers/users first.
And if you do not have a product, build it first and get customers/users on it.
Personally my take is...metrics do not matter, if you do not have traction.
And once you have traction. you will know what drives that traction and what needs to scale.

So how has having a 'North Star Metric' helped you or how do you think it will help you?

And yes...happy new year!
