We built a simple tool to help you make any decision (what to cook , what pet to get, where to move anything you want to decide)
Shared by timetobuild · 10d ago · 14 comments

You specify your decision and context. The AI helps come up with options for you along with criteria you should consider for your decision. You then rate your options based on each criteria and you have a decision.
Try it out, ask it anything. We want to make decision making fun!
Works best on laptop/desktop not fully optimized for mobile

There is quora, reddit, etc where you can ask questions and get answers from real humans. How can a dumb AI algorithm (which most likely parses thru content already on the net) going to compete with that?

timetobuild · 9d ago

Definitely cannot compete with humans, but decision engine can help you come up with a process and help you fact find so the process can be easier. If the tool was able to connect you with right people who have made similar decisions help?

Can you give an real life example?
Let's say I have to move to Los Angeles and I have several decisions to make..I am better of asking locals and googling for the right apartments/homes and all the other questions?
How in world your decision making tool helps there?

timetobuild · 9d ago

Let's take your example. You are looking for the apartment/house, so you will need to come up with criteria to consider in making the decision, the tool can help come up with that based on your context. Example : Cost, Commute time others etc based on your context.
It does not have specific options in your case, hopefully in the future it can do that too. In this case you can put in your options and rate those options. The tool can help get relevant information so you can rate each option effectively. In terms of connecting with people we do not have anything like this now (you can post the decision and get feedback for now) but in future it could allow you to connect with people who live in LA so you can ask specific questions.

This was a pretty good reply. It got me to try it out. If you can distill that response/example into a 1 sentence pitch I think you're on to something captivating. This is an awesome idea and the product so far functions well.

Thanks Ken for the encouraging words. We need to better job at the one liner, we are working on it. As you use the tool if you have any further feedback please let me know.

Have you raised yet? I'm borderline obsessed with it already. There seems to be a little friction for me in the criteria and rating tabs though, especially initially, which might deter some users. It feels a little too complicated, like I'm bouncing back and forth figuring out what to include, where to move the slider, scoring stuff. Could the system infer the input you're seeking by simply asking follow up questions? Dumbed down UI to click your way through to a potential answer. It could become both a serious tool and addictive time waster. Just my 2 cents. Really well done. Huge monetization potential too.

I see your point. We just pushed a new update few hours ago to make the option tabs more clearer. We still have not done anything on option criteria stuff. I will take it back to the team. Not raised yet.
We would love to work with you as an early adopter.

Early adopter? If they don't hurry up I might try to steal your seed round. Joking (not really) aside, I'd love to. Sent you my email through your site feedback widget.

timetobuild · 9d ago

I cannot see your comment in the feedback, I double checked. We were trying to get more info on which areas we could improve
